Recently I have been  working with a lathe to create bowls and other turned objects. 

The bowls above were created from a single block of wood.  Another form of woodturning that I've been enjoying lately is called segmented woodturning.  Segmented bowls are constructed from many pieces of wood that are precisely cut, glued together, and turned on the lathe.  Different types of wood can be combined to create some amazing bowls and vases!
